GEARBOX REPAIRS
The gearbox is the heart piece of a automatic electric gun. There are several types and variations depending on the type of airsoft rifle. It was designed by Tokyo Marui in 1992, mainly relying on RC car components and revolutionized airsoft technology. Most parts have been standardized, making repair and replacement more user friendly. Beside basic repairs, I can offer maintenance, shim adjustments and custom upgrades within the boundaries of the legal limits.
SPECIAL REPAIRS
I do dare to take the challenge to repair some toy guns other repair shops prefer to refuse or avoid. Among them are the cheaper battery operated airsoft guns produced by Tokyo Marui such as the electric blowback handguns (EEB AEP), the “Boys, the “Light Pro” and the “Mini” AEGs. These electric guns are mostly produced in Taiwan and have notoriously cheap and brittle pinion gears, which tend to crack over time. It is usually an easy fix by replacing them with higher grade RC gears.
CUSTOM AEG BUILDS
One of my innovations was to modify the original FA-MAS SV for better performance in survival games. I named it FA-MAS C/SD “C” for “court” or “compact” and SD for “Schalldaempfer” (German: Suppressor). The short barrel provides an advantage for CQB use, the threaded muzzle adapter allows the easy use of suppressors or tracer units. Customs bushings, gears, spring and hop rubber allow better range, accuracy, firing rate and trigger response. The mount rail allows the use of various optics of choice.
FAMAS G2 PROJECT
I have assembled some prototype FA-MAS G2 AEGs using mainly components from old Tokyo Marui FA-MAS F1 and SV AEGs. Unlike the SV version (G1) which was never put into production by Giat, the G2 was delivered to the French navy. The G2 version would have the benefit of compatibility the most commonly used M4/M16/ STANAG magazines. I redesigned the magazine wells using a laser cutter for the markings. A real 3 point French army sling adds to the authenticity.
